UV-C as a Controlled Technology

UV-C can be used in controlled systems to support disinfection workflows.

UV-C light in the germicidal range - delivered by Mackwell Health using controlled UV-C systems, from proven germicidal lamps to solid state LEDs - interacts with the DNA and RNA of micro-organisms - bacteria, viruses, yeasts and spores - at the molecular level. When delivered at controlled exposure levels within a defined system, UV-C can support the decontamination of surfaces, devices or environments.

UV-C is only as effective as the system containing it. Mackwell Health engineers its systems around defined exposure, controlled positioning and repeatable workflow design - not just light output.

Scientific Heritage

The germicidal effect of UV light has been studied for over a century - making UV-C one of the most thoroughly researched and evidence supported disinfection mechanisms in microbiology.

Workflow Design

Controlled decontamination workflows.

Effective decontamination is not just about the technology - it's about how the technology is integrated into clinical workflows, trained for, documented and maintained.

Chamber based device decontamination

Enclosed UV-C chambers designed for reusable medical devices - controlled exposure, defined positioning and repeatable cycle logic.

Room based environmental decontamination

Multi-tower UV-C systems for clinical spaces - designed to address room geometry, furniture shadows and hard to reach areas.

Cycle control & preset management

Programmable cycle management allowing clinical teams to define, store and repeat workflows across different device or space types.
